On Time Management and Discipline

If I really want to turn my dreams into reality, I need to be a master on time management and discipline. I need to put on extra effort and get more willpower to act on the plans that I have in mind.

Being a stay-at-home mom to a spirited toddler and having no helper at all (it was a conscious decision), I need to find time for writing, studying, research and marketing. How on earth can I do work stuff alongside my chores and mommy and wifey duties? I must confess that I was overwhelmed at first with crying and self-pity episodes to boot. I talked to my husband about it so it would be the two of us who would assess the situation. You see, it helps a lot when you let your spouse know how you feel about things. You get to see a problem from another perspective. I have also found inspiration from the other mommy bloggers that I follow. I have discovered that most of them would either work on their laptop late at night or very early in the morning. I have tried the former and was dizzy the following day. I tried the latter, writing at around 5am and it worked for me. My only problem is consistency. I have yet to wake up that early on a daily basis. This is where I need discipline to be my friend.

I know I can achieve more if I try harder. With time management, discipline and constant praying, I can be who I want to be. Allow me to share with you my favorite motivational Bible verse:

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)

Let’s all aim for the best!

I am reposting this music of Hillsong United to remind all of us to put our faith in God in whatever season that each of us is going through at this time in our lives.

Feel free to put this in the loop and meditate on the message that this music conveys. Let us all pray to always trust God regardless the circumstance/s that we are in.

Have a blessed day! 🙂

Super Mommy

There are times when I wish that I was a superhero. Sometimes I wish that I was Elastigirl aka Mrs Incredible so I can stretch my body as far and in any form possible and protect my little one all the time.  How convenient would it be if my hands and arms would reach him just in time to break his fall. It would be nice if I could get to his side and turn into some sort of object just to protect him from bumps. I wish that I have sharp and extra sensory powers just so I would know what my son needs each time.

Maybe I’m watching too many animated and superhero movies.

I feel bad about myself every time my toddler gets hurt. I get frustrated when I had a lapse of judgement or was not too quick to protect him from any kind of harm. Sometimes I feel that I’m a bad mom.

My hope and prayer at this point is that God will enable me to be a better mom to Louiji. I pray that He will bless me with wisdom, knowledge, strength, grace, patience and everything that I need to fulfill my role  as caretaker of the most wonderful blessing that He has brought into my life. Now, I think that it’s better than wishing that I’m a super mommy!

About Me

Hello there! I'm Arge. I am a daughter of The One and Only King, a work-in-progress, saved by grace.

Feel free to explore around my little online home!

You will read about our journey in homeschooling, my hits and misses in being a plant mom, the joy I find in baking, my newfound love for sewing, and most of all, my amazement at how GOD sustains me with His blessings, grace and mercies in my every day life.
